Recently, another significant unique event took place for all countries of Central Asia, organized by the Republican Environmental Resource Center "EKOMAKTAB", which played a key role in the development of regional cooperation in the field of wildlife protection. Carrying out such an event has become an important component of the joint work of the Central Asian countries to strengthen environmental protection measures. It made it possible to strengthen professional ties, transfer valuable experience and outline new horizons for cooperation. As part of the project, the Republican Environmental Resource Center "EKOMAKTAB" organized a unique training workshop, which was a visit to the National Canine Center of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Representatives from different countries of Central Asia had the opportunity to verify the high professionalism of local dog handlers and evaluate the effectiveness of the methods used. During the event, guests visited training grounds and testing areas, where animals demonstrated the ability to detect special substances used as indicators of illegal transportation of wildlife products. Such samples include, for example, specific aromas tree species, fur, skins of rare animals and other objects of the CITES list. At the end of the program, the ceremonial transfer of three service dogs to the employees of the canine service of the Customs Committee of Kyrgyzstan took place. This act symbolized the strengthening of partnership and mutual assistance between the fraternal peoples, aimed at preserving the valuable natural resources of the region, special attention was paid to the technical equipment of the canine units. training and development of search skills by employees of both countries. Such a gesture demonstrated the desire of the Republican Environmental Resource Center "EKOMAKTAB" to promote the dissemination of knowledge and skills necessary for the successful fight against crimes against wildlife throughout Central Asia and beyond.
